Maricopa County Air Quality Regulatory Process Update

The Maricopa County Air Quality Department posted the Notice of Public Hearing and Reports to the Board of Supervisors for the proposed rules rescission of Rule 317 (Hospital/Medical/Infectious Waste Incinerators), Rule 325 (Brick and Structural Clay Products (BSCP) Manufacturing), Rule 334 (Rubber Sports Ball Manufacturing) and Rule 339 (Vegetable Oil Extraction Processes) to the Maricopa County Enhanced Regulatory Outreach Program website. 

The Maricopa County Air Quality Department posted the Notice of Public Hearing and the Report to the Board of Supervisors for AQ-2017-001 Rule 360 (New Source Performance Standards), Rule 370 (Federal Hazardous Air Pollutant Program), Rule 371 (Acid Rain), and Appendix G (Incorporated Materials) to the Maricopa County Enhanced Regulatory Outreach Program website.

This rulemaking incorporates federal actions relating to New Source Performance Standards (“NSPS”), National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (“NESHAP”), Acid Rain and other parts of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (“CFR”) and updates the incorporation by reference date from July 1, 2016 to July 1, 2017.

The Board of Supervisors’ public hearing for these items is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 9:30 AM at 205 W. Jefferson Street, Phoenix, AZ.
