Drug disposal product introduced at NFDA Convention
Billerica, MA— 11-01-2017 — The Dodge Company has announced the immediate availability of the Drug Buster medication disposal system. The safe disposal of unwanted and leftover drugs is an ongoing situation, and many funeral homes are being asked to assist with this process by the families they serve.
“Drug Buster provides a safe, economical and environmentally responsible system for destroying pills, controlled substances, liquids and transdermal patches,” said Tim Collison, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at The Dodge Company.
Drug Buster’s patented solution dissolves and neutralizes the active ingredients in non-hazardous medications. This irreversible process begins immediately, taking just 15 minutes to break down pharmaceuticals into an environmentally inert slurry. The container can be safely stored and used repeatedly until full, at which time it can be put into the garbage. Easy as 1-2-3
To use Drug Buster, simply place unwanted drugs into the bottle, invert and swish the container twice. After 2 hours or when full, the container can be discarded in regular trash, as it is not a hazmat.
The Drug Buster drug disposal system meets or exceeds FDA, DEA and EPA guidelines for drug disposal. Two sizes are available through The Dodge Company, a 16 oz. bottle which will neutralize up to 300 pills, capsules or 8 oz. of liquid medication, and a 64 oz. size which will neutralize up to 1500 pills, capsules or 32 oz. of medication.
Founded in 1893, The Dodge Company is the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of preparation room supplies.
