NFDA Remembering a Life Film Contest

As funeral professionals, we hear inspiring life stories every day. Stories about people who have overcome huge obstacles. People who have created a beautiful legacy of family and friendship. We are moved to laugh, to cry, to reflect, and to dream. It’s amazing how stories can move us so deeply.

In honor of the countless stories we have heard and helped to share, we are excited to promote the Remembering a Life Film Contest, sponsored by the National Funeral Directors Association working in partnership with the Milwaukee Filmmaker Alliance. Amateur and professional filmmakers alike are encouraged to enter by creating a film that commemorates the life of someone who has died, or pays tribute someone who is still alive. The goal is to show a variety of ways that life can be remembered through film.

There are three generous prizes: First place – $10,000, Second place – $5,000, and Third place – $2,500. The films will be debuted at the 2018 NFDA International Convention & Expo in Salt Lake City this October and will then be shown to the public through a variety of channels.
