Member Spotlight: Mountain View Brings Community Together Through Annual Pet Blessing

For funeral and cemetery professionals, community connection doesn’t have to begin when a family experiences a death. Sometimes it starts with opening the doors, inviting people in and creating a reason to gather.

This October, Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery in Mesa will host its annual Pet Blessing, welcoming families and their pets for a morning celebrating the special bond people share with the animals in their lives.

The event will be held October 16 from 9:00–10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Funeral Home & Cemetery.

The Pet Blessing is just one piece of Mountain View’s community programming. Its current calendar also includes Lunch & Learn programs, a holiday toy drive, cemetery clean-up days and a Día de los Muertos celebration.

For AFCCA, we love seeing members find meaningful ways to connect with the communities they serve outside of the traditional funeral or cemetery setting. Programs like these give families an opportunity to become familiar with funeral and cemetery professionals in a welcoming environment while creating traditions that bring people together.

Thank you to the Mountain View team for continuing to find ways to serve and connect with your community.
