Last Wednesday we had an Evening With Michael S. Seaver, where we discussed our biggest source of stress, we defined our core values and then received practical applications to help relieve our compassion fatigue and avoid burnout.
It was interesting to see how everyone narrowed down their core values. It was harder than you would imagine since you have to determine whether it’s actually a core value of yours or if it’s how you would like others to perceive you. Really pinpointing these values will help you make day to day decisions that bring you peace and reduce stress.
Funeral Industry professionals are constantly immersed in emotional stress on top of other daily stressors. It’s important to take care of yourself so you can continue to serve your families.
Thank you to all who came out, and we hope you gained at least a slight sense of calm going forward this year! Thank you to Green Acres Mortuary and Cemetery for hosting!
AFCCA members asked for CEU events more frequently throughout the year, so this is the first of evening seminars that we hope will continue to grow, so be on the lookout for the next one.
