AZDHS Releases Updated Draft Rules for Article 3 – Feedback Requested by August 17

he Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS) Bureau of Licensing has released updated draft rules for Article 3, following the July 1, 2025, Funeral Workgroup Meeting. These revisions reflect input gathered during the meeting and through the public survey that closed on July 6.

Key Updates:

AZDHS invites all funeral licensees, stakeholders and advisory committee members to review the updated draft and provide input. The survey will remain open through August 17, 2025.

Your feedback is essential to shaping clear, effective and practical licensing regulations for our profession.


AZDHS is currently working on the draft for Article 4.

  • This article covers crematory information, including licensing, personnel, operations, and administration, and incorporates requirements for Natural Organic Reduction and Alkaline Hydrolysis.
