ADRE does not  regulate cemeteries or interments.

A Cemetery owner is required to obtain a Certificate of Authority from the Arizona Department of Real Estate before offering cemetery plots for sale, unless the exceptions in A.R.S. § 32-2194 apply.

Violations beyond the Department’s jurisdiction may be civil matters able to be handled at the municipal level, or may exist under the jurisdiction of the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Professions & Occupations.
