Recently, we learned that some funeral professionals are still trying to reach the former Arizona State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers — an agency that no longer exists — for licensing questions.
To avoid confusion and delays, here’s what you need to know:
Oversight Has Moved
Since June 2023, all Funeral Services Licensing in Arizona has been under the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Bureau of Licensing for Professions & Occupations (BLPO).
Unfortunately, some outdated contact information is still floating around online, which can send calls and emails in the wrong direction.
