The Diocese of Phoenix Catholic Cemeteries and Funeral Homes is seeking a licensed Funeral Director/Embalmer to assist in its funeral ministry at our Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery and Funeral Home location. As a ministry of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Phoenix, this position is primarily responsible to provide professional funeral services for families during their time of need.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: The ideal candidate must have strong leadership experience, demonstrate excellent communication abilities and possess strong embalming skills; adhere to a high standard of ethics, morality, and confidentiality at all times; ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism when interacting with people of varying backgrounds; be familiar with and be able to subscribe to Catholic principles and teachings.
Minimum Qualifications: Must possess required state education and license requirements for Arizona licensed funeral director and embalmer; minimum of 1-3 years’ experience as a licensed funeral director and embalmer; have a valid Arizona driver’s license with an insurable driving record; ability to work occasional evenings and weekends; Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing is highly preferred; Bilingual (English and Spanish) is highly desirable.
